Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Verso sera by Giovanni Barbisan was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 350.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 200.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Barbisan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Malga Ciapela in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 1,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Verso sera von Giovanni Barbisan im Mai 2016 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 350,00 – 400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 200,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Barbisan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Malga Ciapela im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.200,00.
