In April last year Il Ponte held the auction Mobili e Dipinti antichi, Argenti, Sculture, Pendole, Tappeti e Tessuti, Strumenti musicali, Disegni e Incisioni di antichi Maestri, which included the work Composizione con anatra e i suoi anatroccoli by Giovanni Agostino Cassana. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,000.00 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Agostino Cassana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Farmyard Scene With A Still Life Of A Rabbit, Guinea Pigs, Apple-Peel And A Butterfly On A Plate, Together With A Terracotta Jug And Bowl in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 28,750.00 (€ 32,622.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Il Ponte die Auktion Mobili e Dipinti antichi, Argenti, Sculture, Pendole, Tappeti e Tessuti, Strumenti musicali, Disegni e Incisioni di antichi Maestri durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composizione con anatra e i suoi anatroccoli von Giovanni Agostino Cassana zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.000,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Agostino Cassana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Farmyard Scene With A Still Life Of A Rabbit, Guinea Pigs, Apple-Peel And A Butterfly On A Plate, Together With A Terracotta Jug And Bowl im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.750,00 (€ 32.622,63).
