Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek young Girl by Georgios Gounaropoulos was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2011. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,720.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Georgios Gounaropoulos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prometheus in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek young Girl von Georgios Gounaropoulos kam im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.720,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georgios Gounaropoulos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prometheus im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.103,49).
