Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Vue du mont Athos by Georgios Gounaropoulos. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,287.50. Admittedly, works by Georgios Gounaropoulos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prometheus in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue du mont Athos von Georgios Gounaropoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.287,50 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georgios Gounaropoulos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prometheus im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.103,49).
