Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A hilly landscape with travellers resting on a track; and A coastal landscape with a small ship and a man-o'-war on choppy waters by Gillis Peeters I was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2013. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gillis Peeters I - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wooded rocky landscape with a couple tending sheep, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 12,250.00.

Die Arbeit A hilly landscape with travellers resting on a track; and A coastal landscape with a small ship and a man-o'-war on choppy waters von Gillis Peeters I kam im März 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gillis Peeters I mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A wooded rocky landscape with a couple tending sheep beobachtet, die im November 2007 für EUR 12.250,00 versteigert wurde.
