Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work A signed colour promotional photograph of the American actress Carrie Fisher (1956–2016) in her role as Princess Leia Organa in the motion picture “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” from 1977 by Gilbert Taylor was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 4,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,300.00 (€ 308.54). Admittedly, works by Gilbert Taylor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A triple signed colour still photograph of the actors Mark Hamill (b. 1951), Anthony Daniels (b. 1946) and Kenny Baker (1934–2016) in their roles as respectively Luke Skywalker, C-3PO and R2-D2 in the motion picture “Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope” fr in April this year with an auction result of DKK 11,000.

Als die Arbeit A signed colour promotional photograph of the American actress Carrie Fisher (1956–2016) in her role as Princess Leia Organa in the motion picture “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” from 1977 von Gilbert Taylor im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 4.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.300,00 (€ 308,54) den Besitzer.
