A top price for Gideon Rubin - as previously expected
The work Red Ribbon by Gideon Rubin was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2015. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,115.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Red Ribbon is the most expensive artwork by Gideon Rubin that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Red Ribbon von Gideon Rubin wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.115,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Red Ribbon das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gideon Rubin, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
