Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Il Ponte held the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, which included the work Senza titolo by Gianni Dova. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,200.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gianni Dova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tiro al bersaglio in November 2007 with an auction result of EUR 21,620.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Senza titolo von Gianni Dova zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.200,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gianni Dova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tiro al bersaglio im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.620,00.
