Despite a disappointment, a good price for Giacomo Rossi
When the work La Répudiation d'Agar by Giacomo Rossi was auctioned at Christies in Paris in November 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 587.50. Despite this disappointing result, La Répudiation d'Agar is the most expensive artwork by Giacomo Rossi that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Giacomo Rossi
Als die Arbeit La Répudiation d'Agar von Giacomo Rossi im November 2002 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 587,50 den Besitzer.
