Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections, which included the work Wasitiyat by Ghazi Al Saudi. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,987.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ghazi Al Saudi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Barber in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,639.94).
