Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work A rustic interior with a seated woman and other figures making merry by Gerrit Lundens for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,380.54). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Christies and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerrit Lundens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A blacksmith at work in November 2000 with an auction result of NLG 56,169.60 (€ 26,314.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A rustic interior with a seated woman and other figures making merry von Gerrit Lundens für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.380,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerrit Lundens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A blacksmith at work im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 56.169,60 (€ 26.314,56).
