In the Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby auction, the work Three studies of Dutch shipping (recto) and (verso) sold for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,838.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerrit Groenewegen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gerrit Groenewegen (1754-1826), which sold at auction in November 2000 for NLG 15,212.60 (€ 7,126.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerrit Groenewegen erzielte im März 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby wurde die Arbeit Three studies of Dutch shipping (recto) and (verso) für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.838,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerrit Groenewegen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gerrit Groenewegen (1754-1826) beobachtet, die im November 2000 für NLG 15.212,60 (€ 7.126,86) versteigert wurde.
