Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Meeting Of Jacob And Esau by Gerrit Claesz. Bleker was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 14,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,467.57). Admittedly, works by Gerrit Claesz. Bleker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Wooded Landscape With Mounted Soldiers, A Church Tower Beyond in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 70,350.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Meeting Of Jacob And Esau von Gerrit Claesz.
