A top price for German Evgenevich Dontsov - as previously expected
The work On The New Lands by German Evgenevich Dontsov was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,238.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, On The New Lands is the most expensive artwork by German Evgenevich Dontsov that we have observed at auctions so far.
