Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints, which included the work A view towards the lake by Gerhard Heilmann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 618.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Gerhard Heilmann have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2012 the work Two storks by a lake on a summer's day was auctioned for GBP 750.00 (€ 919.85).

Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view towards the lake von Gerhard Heilmann zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 420,00 (€ 618,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Gerhard Heilmann konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2012 die Arbeit Two storks by a lake on a summer's day für GBP 750,00 (€ 919,85) versteigert.
