A top price for Gerard Quenum
In October last year Christies in London held the auction A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection, which included the work Slavery by Gerard Quenum. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,229.35), 39% above the upper estimate. With this result, Slavery is even the most expensive work of art by Gerard Quenum that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Gerard Quenum
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Slavery von Gerard Quenum zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.229,35) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Slavery sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gerard Quenum, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
