Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A forest landscape with Christ and the Centurion by Gerard de la Vallée. The price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Gerard de la Vallée have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work An Allegory Of Spring was auctioned for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,374.29).
