Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX, which included the work Cactaceous plants on a yellow chair by Ger Langeweg. The price achieved of EUR 2,350.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,900.00 – 2,700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ger Langeweg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vrouwen in grazige weiden, which sold at auction in March 2000 for NLG 12,872.20 (€ 5,476.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cactaceous plants on a yellow chair von Ger Langeweg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.350,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.900,00 – 2.700,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ger Langeweg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vrouwen in grazige weiden beobachtet, die im März 2000 für NLG 12.872,20 (€ 5.476,13) versteigert wurde.
