Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Still Life With Lobster And Fish by Georgios Gounaropoulos was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,823.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Georgios Gounaropoulos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prometheus in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek Still Life With Lobster And Fish von Georgios Gounaropoulos wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.823,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georgios Gounaropoulos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prometheus im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.103,49).
