Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Dream Landscape by Georgios Gounaropoulos was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,158.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georgios Gounaropoulos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prometheus, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek Dream Landscape von Georgios Gounaropoulos wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.158,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Georgios Gounaropoulos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prometheus beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.103,49) versteigert wurde.
