Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beaver by Georgina Gratrix was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,144.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georgina Gratrix - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work I Am In Love With My Sister, which sold at auction in October 2020 for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 9,793.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beaver von Georgina Gratrix kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.144,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Georgina Gratrix mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit I Am In Love With My Sister beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 9.793,86) versteigert wurde.
