Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Riders In A Landscape by Georges Washington for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,506.63). This price was achieved in the auction Important Works from the Najd Collection, Part II at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Washington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Baignade Des Chevaux in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 224,491.00.

Im Juni 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Riders In A Landscape von Georges Washington für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.506,63) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Works from the Najd Collection, Part II bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Washington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Baignade Des Chevaux im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 224.491,00.
