Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Artcurial held the auction A Moroccan Winter, which included the work Cavaliers traversant l'oued by Georges Washington. Here, the upper estimate of MAD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for MAD 170,560.00 (€ 15,603.57). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Washington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Baignade Des Chevaux in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 224,491.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion A Moroccan Winter durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cavaliers traversant l'oued von Georges Washington zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von MAD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für MAD 170.560,00 (€ 15.603,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Washington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Baignade Des Chevaux im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 224.491,00.
