Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition Abstraite by Georges Romathier was sold in the Spring Sale auction at Artcurial in Paris in April 2018. It changed hands for a price of EUR 182.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 100.00 – 200.00. Admittedly, works by Georges Romathier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Compositions, Circa 1965 in July 2008 with an auction result of EUR 805.00.

Die Arbeit Composition Abstraite von Georges Romathier wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Spring Sale bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 182,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 100,00 – 200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Romathier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Compositions, Circa 1965 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 805,00.
