Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Pont de Sully by Georges Henri Manzana Pissarro was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,739.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Henri Manzana Pissarro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elégante dans un jardin in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,638.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Pont de Sully von Georges Henri Manzana Pissarro im Juni 2014 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.739,23) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Henri Manzana Pissarro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elégante dans un jardin im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.638,17).
