Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elegant figures before a French chateau by Georges Dufrenoy was sold in the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in February 2003. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 857.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Georges Dufrenoy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Port De Toulon in April 2014 with an auction result of EUR 4,550.00.

Die Arbeit Elegant figures before a French chateau von Georges Dufrenoy wurde im Februar 2003 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 857,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Dufrenoy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Port De Toulon im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.550,00.
