It achieved a price of USD 3,233,000.00 (€ 2,178,424.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 62%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges de La Tour - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Andrew, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 4,287,500.00 (€ 5,027,982.76).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.233.000,00 (€ 2.178.424,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 62%. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges de La Tour mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint Andrew beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 4.287.500,00 (€ 5.027.982,76) versteigert wurde.
