Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting, which included the work French Le Fruit Defendu by Georges de Feure. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 34,850.00 (€ 42,136.27), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Georges de Feure have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Femme Dans La Neige (Élégante Au Petit Chien) in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 313,929.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Le Fruit Defendu von Georges de Feure zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 42.136,27) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges de Feure auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Femme Dans La Neige (Élégante Au Petit Chien) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 313.929,50).
