Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sill Life With Tulips, And Other Flowers With A Frog And A Forest Floor by George William Sartorius was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 907.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George William Sartorius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life Of Game And Fruits On A Stone Ledge in November 2004 with an auction result of EUR 9,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sill Life With Tulips, And Other Flowers With A Frog And A Forest Floor von George William Sartorius im März 2014 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
