Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures, which included the work The rock of Surrey by George William Mote. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,091.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George William Mote achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden Of England in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,049.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The rock of Surrey von George William Mote zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.091,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George William Mote erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Garden Of England im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.049,79).
