Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Vicat Cole could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Autumn Classic Sale auction, the work Figures in a summer landscape changed hands for SEK 39,000.00 (€ 4,347.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 50,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Vicat Cole achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Windsor Castle, from a backwater in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 29,875.00 (€ 46,782.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Vicat Cole konnte im Dezember 2010 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Autumn Classic Sale wechselte die Arbeit Figures in a summer landscape für SEK 39.000,00 (€ 4.347,05) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Vicat Cole erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Windsor Castle, from a backwater im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.875,00 (€ 46.782,71).
