In the British Art on Paper including the Collection and Studio of auction, the work Foxgloves; and In an allotment garden sold for GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,744.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Samuel Elgood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses And Pinks At Levens Hall, Kendal, Cumbria, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,245.92).
