In March 2009 Sothebys in Doha held the auction A Collection of Orientalist Art, which included the work British A Prayer To Allah by George L. Seymour. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,507.96), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by George L. Seymour have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Consecration Of Arms in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 123,242.38).

Im März 2009 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion A Collection of Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit British A Prayer To Allah von George L. Seymour zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 24.507,96) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George L. Seymour auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Consecration Of Arms im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 123.242,38).
