Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Woman with a Vase) by George Keyt was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 12,112.50 (€ 14,035.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Keyt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Triptych 1929 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 183,249.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Woman with a Vase) von George Keyt wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.112,50 (€ 14.035,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Keyt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Triptych 1929 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 183.249,87).
