This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Keyt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Triptych 1929, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 183,249.87).
