This artwork by George Keyt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September this year. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Couple) sold for USD 56,700.00 (€ 53,571.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Keyt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Triptych 1929, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 183,249.87).

Dieses Kunstwerk von George Keyt erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Couple) für USD 56.700,00 (€ 53.571,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von George Keyt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Triptych 1929 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 162.500,00 (€ 183.249,87) versteigert wurde.
