Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Girl And Cactus by George Keyt for GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,917.60). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art at Bonhams in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Keyt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Triptych 1929 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 183,249.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Girl And Cactus von George Keyt für GBP 10.240,00 (€ 11.917,60) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Keyt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Triptych 1929 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 183.249,87).
