Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Intruder by George McNeil. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,764.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George McNeil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Holiday in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 27,400.00 (€ 18,462.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Intruder von George McNeil zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.750,00 (€ 1.764,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George McNeil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Holiday im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.400,00 (€ 18.462,37).
