Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work View of the City of London with St Paul's, seen from the Thames by George Heriot was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,512.00 (€ 1,773.13). Admittedly, works by George Heriot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Greenwich, London (Recto); And A River Landscape (Verso) in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,484.56).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.512,00 (€ 1.773,13) einen neuen Besitzer.
