In August 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Portrait of a young boy by George Henry Yewell. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,000.00 (€ 787.15), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Henry Yewell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Souk, Cairo in March last year with an auction result of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,938.72).

Im August 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a young boy von George Henry Yewell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 787,15) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Henry Yewell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Souk, Cairo im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.938,72).
