Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dutch work Horses At The Houthaven, Amsterdam by George Hendrik Breitner was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 83,556.65). Admittedly, works by George Hendrik Breitner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gezicht op Keizersgracht hoek Reguliersgracht: an elegant lady strolling along a canal in Amsterdam in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 760,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dutch work Horses At The Houthaven, Amsterdam von George Hendrik Breitner wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 83.556,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Hendrik Breitner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gezicht op Keizersgracht hoek Reguliersgracht: an elegant lady strolling along a canal in Amsterdam im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 760.250,00.
