A top price for George Grard - as previously expected
In May 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work La Grande Africaine: The large African Woman by George Grard. The price achieved of EUR 44,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, La Grande Africaine: The large African Woman is the most expensive artwork by George Grard that we have observed at auctions so far.
