The work The pigeons of St Mark's, Venice, Italy by George Goodwin Kilburne was sold in the British Art on Paper auction at Christies in London in December 2008. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,128.64), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Goodwin Kilburne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Miss Pinkerton's Academy, Chiswick Mall, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 32,900.00 (€ 52,150.55).

Für andere Arbeiten von George Goodwin Kilburne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Miss Pinkerton's Academy, Chiswick Mall beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für GBP 32.900,00 (€ 52.150,55) versteigert wurde.
