Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 880.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Other works by George Edward Horton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October last year the work Launch of HMS Victoria from the Elswick shipyard of Sir W. G. Armstrong Whitworth and Co. Ltd Newcastle-upon-Tyne 1887 was auctioned for GBP 956.25 (€ 1,114.02).
