The work Morning in the Cevennes by George Devlin was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,192.15), 49% above the upper estimate. Other works by George Devlin have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,604.08) in March 2002 for the work Early Spring on the Seine.
