Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Poppy Field by George Demont Otis was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,850.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Demont Otis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring Sleepy Hollow, which sold at auction in August this year for USD 14,080.00 (€ 12,990.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Poppy Field von George Demont Otis kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.355,00 (€ 4.850,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von George Demont Otis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring Sleepy Hollow beobachtet, die im August diesen Jahres für USD 14.080,00 (€ 12.990,13) versteigert wurde.
