Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work A Cruiser Squadron Offshore With Boat Crews Heading For The Beach by George Cochrane Kerr for GBP 179.25 (€ 257.85). This price was achieved in the auction MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES (PICTURES) at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Cochrane Kerr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures mending lobster pots on the beach, which sold at auction in May 2001 for GBP 493.50 (€ 827.36).

Im November 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Cruiser Squadron Offshore With Boat Crews Heading For The Beach von George Cochrane Kerr für GBP 179,25 (€ 257,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES (PICTURES) bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00.
