The price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 783.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Queen Eleanor and fair Rosamond is the most expensive artwork by George Cattermole that we have observed at auctions so far.
