Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 573.60 (€ 811.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by George Barret the Younger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Solitude: An Italianate Landscape With A Figure Reclining Beneath Trees in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,695.08).
