Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Outside A Country Inn by George Barret the Younger was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in March 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,766.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Barret the Younger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Solitude: An Italianate Landscape With A Figure Reclining Beneath Trees, which sold at auction in July 2017 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,695.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Outside A Country Inn von George Barret the Younger kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.766,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von George Barret the Younger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Solitude: An Italianate Landscape With A Figure Reclining Beneath Trees beobachtet, die im Juli 2017 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.695,08) versteigert wurde.
